Three steps
Just as straightforward as the rest of Orfeo: a PIN, your files, and a backup you keep yourself.
Add what shouldn't be seen
Photos, videos, PDFs and GIFs. Albums, camera and trash. None of it goes to an Orfeo cloud.
You keep the backup
Export a .cofre file to a USB drive, a disk, or wherever you choose. Without that backup, reinstalling means losing the vault.
What Orfeo Cofre is
A private store on your phone. You open it. You close it. If you forget the PIN and have no .cofre backup, the contents cannot be recovered.
On-device encryption
Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. No account to create, no server of ours receiving your photos.
Albums, camera and documents
Import whatever you choose, or capture it straight inside the vault. PDFs and GIFs too. There's a trash bin.
Decoy vault (optional)
A second PIN opens a different vault. The real one stays locked. You decide if you use it.
Calculator disguise (optional)
Can show up as a calculator in the app drawer. It's still Orfeo Cofre, not a third-party app.
Private chat (optional)
End-to-end encrypted messages with another person who also has Orfeo Cofre. Swap a contact card once, no accounts or phone numbers, and you can write to each other.
This isn't a cloud
- No server of ours, no account to create.
- Google Play is only involved if you pay for the unlimited unlock (one-time purchase, no subscription).
- The 25-file trial cap is for life: deleting files or uninstalling doesn't grant another 25.
Frequently asked questions
Where are the photos stored?
In the app's private storage, encrypted. Nothing is uploaded to Orfeo. The .cofre backup only exists if you export it yourself.
What if I forget the PIN?
There's no remote recovery. You restore from a .cofre backup you saved. Without a backup, the contents cannot be recovered.
Do I have to pay?
You can add up to 25 trial files with every feature. Viewing, exporting and the backup are never cut. Unlimited adding is a one-time purchase on Google Play.
Is it a calculator?
No. The disguise is optional and disclosed. The listing, the package and the product are Orfeo Cofre.
